FOUR SPRINGS COUNTRY COTTAGES - 307

Self-catering accommodation with a breakfast option, in the Dargle Valley, Midlands Meander, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Situated high on a hill nestled in a forest, Four Springs boasts the most spectacular views of the Dargle Valley. The farm, located in the Natal Midlands Mist Belt is aptly named as it has four springs with crystal clear water running through it. Our garden, which has 500 Protea bushes consisting of 12 species, attracts the relatively rare Gurney’s Sugarbird adding to our prolific birdlife.

Our two cottages, overlooking the valley, have private patios with barbecue facilities - an ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy a sundowner at dusk. Our guest suite, attached to the main thatched house also features a lovely patio overlooking the valley.

Breakfasts are served on the patios with farm fresh organically grown produce from our garden. Including blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, citrus and avocados available seasonally.

Protea Cottage features a large country bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, lounge with sleeper couch facility, television, open fireplace for log fires in winter and open plan kitchen for those who choose to self cater.

Sugarbird Cottage has a twin bed option and 2 large windows overlooking the valley leading onto the patio. Facilities include en-suite bathroom, television, fridge and tea and coffee station.

The Grey Duiker Suite has twin beds and en-suite bathroom with sunken bath, tea and coffee station and French doors leading to the patio overlooking the valley.

Activities include Walking, Birding and Picnicking at the dam, Horse riding on our neighbour's farm or browsing the many art and craft studios on the Midlands Meander or sampling the fare of the many eateries on the area.

We are situated 13 kilometers from Midmar Dam, 20 minutes from Howick and within easy reach of the Sani Pass or Giants Castle in the Drakensberg.
